I love the literature community here on dA for various reasons, and one is that they are always supportive when you need some support or help. They always seem to be willing to give advice when it is asked for, or to just talk literature in often. Halloween is coming up quick, so why not enter the All Hallow's Tales[Prose] or Poetry Screams[Poetry] contests?
For the next few weeks I'll be featuring some projects and articles around the Lit Community instead of groups! So let me know what projects or articles you'd like to see featured!

This weeks project spotlight is

Community Project: One-Sentence-At-A-Time [CLOSED]

Well, that's a wrap! ~SCFrankles got in the last word this time. Expect the deviation to be posted sometime tomorrow. Thanks for a smashing success!
You've all seen these, I am sure. The idea is one person starts a story with a single sentence. Each participant writes a comment that adds another sentence to continue the story. You can leave as many comments as you'd like, but no two can be back to back. Please make sure you read previous comments so you know what general direction the story is headed.

Some ground rules:

The story will be written in third person omniscient which allows us to be in any character's head at any time. But try not to do too much jumping as that gets confusing.

Absolutely stick to the ONE sentence per comment rule. They can be compound sentences.

Let's aim to have this story done by January 5th at 11:59pm Pacific Time. I'll compile all the comments into one

Reasons to love dA's Literature Community

Today, November 3rd, is the last day to send me in your reason!

Love dA Lit is turning one hundred!

One-hundred weeks that is. In that time I've really come to appreciate how active and passionate the Literature Community on dA is; this community is truly amazing and I'm honored to be a part of it. And what better way to celebrate than to spread a little love and hand out some prizes? ^{It's also a good excuse for me to hug you all.}

So why do you love dA's Literature Community?

Share what you love about the Lit Community, your reason doesn't need to be long, it could be a few words or a few sentences. Be as specific or general as you want!

Anyone can participate. Even if you don't 'include' yourself in the Literature Community you can still send me a note! As the wise ^neurotype said "The dA Literature community is not homogenous. It's all of these different groups coming together, the same way a city has a hundred and a half neighborhoods that do their things but bleed over around the edges to form a whole massive thing with all kinds of stellar, interesting points."

Maybe you know someone who is involved in the Lit Community, admired the effort of a Lit Project, received a helpful critique/comment, or you've lurked the literature forums, but never got involved. If you can think of a reason to love dA's Literature Community it counts and I want you to share it with me!

At the end of this project I will be posting an article with all the compiled reasons!
