Welcome to the forty-fifth issue of my weekly news article, Love dA Lit! Every Sunday this news article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, interviewing various members of the literature community and spotlighting a specific group every week. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed.

This Week's Group Spotlight

[Spotlight] :iconworldstory: [Spotlight]

WorldStory is "purely a group community in which members create their own pages for the story, and then by popular demand, their page may end up as the official story that is the ongoing story" for the group.  Learn more about this group by clicking here!

Thank you kindly to dza1994 who speedily answered all my questions!

[Star!]How is WorldStory different from the other literature groups on dA?
How is WorldStory different? Simply because it's a cooperative effort. Most, if not all, other literature groups out there work on the writing, not on a book. Members submit several pages of their ideas and stories, showing their world of imagination to other members within the group in hopes of critique, sentimental value, or approval. It is a way to fit in, but there is no real goal besides the inevitable contest.

In WorldStory, there is one goal. Members not only express their own individual views and worlds to other  members, but they also have a chance to work on something big. In WorldStory, rather than working on a contest or small story, you work together to create a book using an idea that the majority thought sounded like the best idea for a story. If all goes well, the book will eventually be published, and all profits will be shared to those who's pages are within the book! Contests are made, yes, but what it comes down to is when the  members critique each others works and correct each others spelling and grammar. If you have been around earlier, you will also have noticed a chatroom was implemented into the group in order for members to exchange ideas for each chapter, giving the ability to brainstorm in an attempt to create the perfect chapter each time with consistent flow. With different submissions, however, a story is still created with this flow WHILE keeping each member's unique individuality and concepts for the story. Any story can go a million directions with each chapter, and with this in mind, WorldStory has taken advantage of this concept. If there are a million directions, then a group like WorldStory will have members eagerly ready to write and display each separate direction!

[Star!]WorldStory is currently hosting a contest, could you tell me a bit about that?
As for the contest. Quite simply put, you just need to visit the contest via the link on the left side of the group page or by browsing through journal history. I have explained all I can there.
["Fighting a Future" Chapter 1 Contest]

[Star!]Anything else of note that you would like to share?
Other things on my mind? Um..not at the moment. I'm sure I would have much more to tell you, but nothing really pops off the top of my head (cliche alert). However, I will happily answer any other questions you have for our group.
