FantasyLiterature "is a group devoted to the fantasy genre", who showcases fantasy literature and strives "to help writers improve and create new and exciting tales." Click here to learn a bit more about them.
TarienCole graciously gave me some of their time and answered a few questions. [Thanks for everything!]
[Star!]How is FantasyLiterature different from the other literature groups on dA?
FantasyLiterature is the group on dA that is devoted singularly to the Fantasy genre, as classically defined. We're not a fantasy+sci-fi group, or a blanket speculative fiction group with Fantasy in our name. Our guidelines require that all submissions be literature that may clear reference to classic fantasy archetypes.
[Star!]You recently became the founder of FantasyLiterature, do you have any upcoming plans for the group?
I desire to gain SuperGroup status for it, and I also am thinking about contest ideas and beginning to feature regular contributors on a monthly basis.
[Star!]You group, as the name implies, focuses on Fantasy Literature, in your opinion what is the most challenging thing about writing fantasy literature? Why?
The most challenging aspect of Fantasy Literature, as unique from other forms, would have to be world-building. The act of creating a viable and unique setting is a challenge in itself. But then how do you explain that setting without turning it into encyclopedic info-dumps. How do you make the world look "lived in" and not just something the characters pass through?
[Star!]Anything else of note that you would like to share?
No. Thank you for the time.

Checking In
It's been quite a while since my last journal entry, about five years. I hope whoever is reading this knows I've never forgotten anyone and I think of all the friends I made here with such love and joy. I'm not sure how many people still linger on DA, but I hope that if you somehow stumble back to my page you know that I love you and wish you well. There is simply too much to go over for the span of five years, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I love you and I missed you. TV show or movie you wish everyone else would

Things are almost infinitely better than 6 months ago and, if I'm honest, it feels like that was years ago. DA has always been a home and as I've slowly gotten better I find myself missing it and all the friends I've made more and more. I know I do not elaborate much on my personal life, but perhaps now that so much is behind me I can allow myself to discuss it more. In truth, I'm not even sure where to begin, but updating on what happened in the la
Birthdays and Change
I wanted to thank all the lovelies who wished me happy birthday recently, I read all your comments and it made me extremely happy. ♥ It was nice to hop on and see that I was thought of, I truly appreciate it beyond words.
However, I know have been very absent for a few months now. Things have not be going well in my life for the majority of the year (and if I'm honest the last 2 years) now and I have had to put DA on the back burner. I still find myself coming to the site, reading comments/replies, looking at deviations, but currently I am overwhelmed by everything that I can't bring myself to do much else.
I find myself now on the pr
