Every Sunday this article will aim to promote volunteer opportunities, various resources, prompts, challenges, and workshops, as well as highlighting various contests, and spotlighting a specific group or project for two weeks. This is by no means a complete list of all the literature going-ons, merely a tool to help you get involved and stay informed.

FreeVersePoetry is the self proclaimed "The official un-official hub for all things free verse here on DA! " The group has a weekly prompt, is currently hosting a contest, and will soon have a member of the month feature. Click here to learn a little more about this group's admins.
DannyAnthony is a true champ for putting up with me and my inability to send a few questions concerning his group, FreeVersePoetry. [We are Procrostinator Buddies now].
Can you explain a bit about the group, FreeVersePoetry, and what makes it different from other literature groups on dA?
Well, FVP is a group dedicated solely to free verse poetry here on DA. In that way, we're a very exclusive group. However, everyone is free to join and submit whatever poems they choose, as long as they meet our one criteria, of course. I like to think that FVP is the “official un-official” hub for all things free verse here on DA. Maybe that's a little lofty thinking, but I like to dream big. What makes us different than other lit groups here on DA? Well, a couple things. For one, as far as I know, we are the only active group here on DA solely dedicated to free verse. Also, unlike a lot of other groups, we frequently share lit community (as a whole, including DD/DLD's) and affiliate news with our watchers/members. Lastly, and I know we aren't really alone on this one, but we also have a solid critique department, with littlemoonboots at the helm.
What do you hope your members get out of joining and being a part of the group?
First and foremost, I hope members feel welcome and valued in our group. We're a group of awesome people first, a place for poets to gather and share their work second. That said, I hope that our members become inspired by others' poems and our prompts. Also, I hope that members receive constructive criticism through our critique department on their work to better their craft. Last but not least, without sounding too corny, I hope our members have fun and make new friends!
Will FreeVersePoetry be hosting any future projects, contests and/or events?
Of course! Contests and prompts are always part of the goings-ons here. It's not a question of if they'll happen, but when they'll happen. That said, we just finished our NaPoWriMo weekly prompts/contests, and I'm currently brainstorming the next set of prompts and contests (perhaps one big one in collaboration with another group....) for the month of May with the rest of the staff. Also, I recently set up a chatroom for the group, so I was hoping on having a chat event this month... Other than that, you'll just have to wait and see what we have in store.
If you had to describe FreeVersePoetry in three words, what would they be and why?
Hmm... interesting question. Making me think eh?
I'd have to say:
Open -– In all senses of the word... Again, we're open to all deviants and all poems, as long as they're free verse.
Caring -- We strive to be a close knit community of friends, no matter how large we grow. One of the ways this notion is manifested is through our critique department, and valuing our member's opinions. See below...
Interactive – I highly encourage input from all members in relation to all facets of the group, from the design of the homepage to prompts. This is a group after all. Everyone has a say in how we're run.
Anything else of note that you would like to share?
In fact, I do. I'm currently looking for 4 new critics, as well as a weekly prompt blogger. If you think you're my man (or lady!) then throw me a note! Literally. Might be easier to fold it into a plane first though...
Also, thank you very much for this feature. It's much appreciated.

Checking In
It's been quite a while since my last journal entry, about five years. I hope whoever is reading this knows I've never forgotten anyone and I think of all the friends I made here with such love and joy. I'm not sure how many people still linger on DA, but I hope that if you somehow stumble back to my page you know that I love you and wish you well. There is simply too much to go over for the span of five years, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I love you and I missed you. I don't write quite as much as I used to, but I've started dabbling more often again and was thinking of posting once more. I'm terribly out of practice, but it's something that's always been cathartic so it doesn't matter too much to me how "good" it is. Sometimes you just have to get the feelings out. Anyways, I hope you are having a wonderfully lovely day, my lovelies. How about some questions! What's your current favorite song? A video game you can't stop playing? TV show or movie you wish everyone else would
Renewal
It has been a rough few years for myself and my family. It is strange to think that for once in my adult life that I am legitimately doing well, not pretending or being close but not quite there. Things are almost infinitely better than 6 months ago and, if I'm honest, it feels like that was years ago. DA has always been a home and as I've slowly gotten better I find myself missing it and all the friends I've made more and more. I know I do not elaborate much on my personal life, but perhaps now that so much is behind me I can allow myself to discuss it more. In truth, I'm not even sure where to begin, but updating on what happened in the la
Birthdays and Change
I wanted to thank all the lovelies who wished me happy birthday recently, I read all your comments and it made me extremely happy. ♥ It was nice to hop on and see that I was thought of, I truly appreciate it beyond words.
However, I know have been very absent for a few months now. Things have not be going well in my life for the majority of the year (and if I'm honest the last 2 years) now and I have had to put DA on the back burner. I still find myself coming to the site, reading comments/replies, looking at deviations, but currently I am overwhelmed by everything that I can't bring myself to do much else.
I find myself now on the pr
