In Honour of our (Hug)Queen
As you all probably know by now (you don’t?! Head over here right now!), our HugQueen (https://www.deviantart.com/hugqueen) put down her hat heart and was given back her senior medal. :cries:
HugQueen (https://www.deviantart.com/hugqueen) has been a community presence that changed the Lit community permanently - even before being a Community Volunteer, Stephy was involved in all kinds of stuff. :faint: She’s the kind of lady that never knows how to stop, and her effort and love have pushed many other members into action, enriching DeviantArt as a whole.
As a CV she has been equally incredible. LiliWrites (https://www.deviantart.com/liliwrites) and TheMaidenInBlack (https://www.deviantart.com/themaideninblack) were added to the team in May 2015, and Stephany demonstrated just how well
Down on One Knee
3-9-15
Down on one knee I rest, my heart in hands
Once superior to all, they now shake
Through years of abuse and misuse by man.
My heart is left to those who’ll use and make
Something from it, both wonderful and great.
I give my heart to you my trusted friend,
You’ve been there through the thick and thin and ache
That rests in chests when friendship has an end.
When you were down mine was the hand to mend,
And soon you returned to the world of light;
I trust you now, my healings at its end
And I must flee to fight the beast this night.
Down on one knee, my heart to you I bring,
That you may stitch it up and give

Literature
dreamhouses and peanut butter
let's build a treehouse.
a treehouse of light and sound and colour,
of words and language and imagination,
of love and ideas.
let's build our treehouse on a cloud
or in a coral reef
or in my backyard, or yours.
it doesn't matter, really.
no disaster
-- natural or unnatural --
will ever make it fall.
and we can sit in our treehouse
and eat sushi and dreams
and hopes and nightmares.
we can dip cherries and pizza in peanut butter
as we laugh at ourselves.
we'll remember why hugs and kisses
taste like tea and coffee
and we'll wake up in the mid-afternoon
covered in midnight dew.
warm like winter
with the residue of kisses
